Welcome to the mechanical department page of SCOE website. The department has a clear vision to build the character of the students in all aspects. We aim to raise an engineer, who is technically sound, socially aware and ethically trustworthy. We as a team of well qualified and dedicated faculties, well set to dispense quality education for the students. The department infrastructure has everything that is vital to provide a better learning experience to the students. We take care of all the facets of the teaching learning process. The class room sessions are interactive for complete subject cognition. All the laboratories are equipped with quality instruments and experimental setups to provide practical knowledge and hands on training. The students are encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities and to organize different events to develop their managerial skills. Industrial visits are arranged for students to expose them to real industry scenarios. Training and Placement cell of the college is continuously striving to offer placements for the final year students. Today India needs entrepreneurial skills of youth to build the nation with startups. We encourage students to break the conventional employee mindset, and to become employers. Entrepreneurship Development Programmes are arranged where students are guided to build their own businesses. If you are searching for a perfect institute for your engineering education, SCOE is the best option. I offer my sincere wishes to you for the better future!

VISION: To mould the students into responsible citizens & Competent Professionals by Imparting contemporary technical skills and social ethics, build a domain knowledge base at the department level in order to give an impetus to research and development activities and thereby contributing towards the development of Mechanical Engineering field.
MISSION: To excel both in teaching and research. To create an excellent ambiance to foster creativity research and scholarship. To be an agent to help in technological growth of the country.
Highlights & key strength: Mechanical Engineering Department was established in 2012 at SCOE, Nashik with an aspiration to render technical skill demanded by todays engineering professional by providing sound technical platform. Presently the department is conducting Undergraduate course ( intake 60). The academic activities are performed in an area of 1356 sq.m supported by state of art infrastructure. The class rooms are well equipped with all modern audio-visual facilities. The laboratories such as Engineering Metallurgy Laboratory, Theory of Machine Laboratory, Computer Aided Design Laboratory, Fluid Power Laboratory and Machine Shop are well equipped with sophisticated instruments that help the students to translate theoretical knowledge pertaining to Kinematics, Thermodynamics, Fluid Dynamics, Automation And Manufacturing imparted to them by eminent faculty members into practical engineering.
Program Outcomes:
Engineering Students will be able to :
Apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
Identify, formulate, research literature and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences and engineering sciences.
Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, cultural, societal and environmental considerations
Investigations of complex problems using research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data and synthesis of information to provide valid conclusions.
Create, select and apply appropriate techniques, resources and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
Apply reasoning informed by contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to professional engineering practice.
Understand the impact of professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts and demonstrate knowledge of and need for sustainable development.
Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of engineering practice.
